Everyone should be motivated to STOP Trump. Not just to support Biden, but because he is a danger to the country.
This is a single-issue election:
To preserve democracy, rule of law and our Constitutional Republic.
Republicans are willing to end all three if it serves their ideology, which at this point seems to be limited to ‘whatever Trump wants’.
I pretty much want anyone but Trump in the WH in 2024.

To me, this headline highlights the magnitude of the Trump threat more than anything else.

I think Biden has been the best president since FDR and I would still say I’m more motivated to stop Trump then supporting him. And thats not because I dont support him but Trump is one of the biggest threats this country has ever faced.
This is what led to Biden winning the first time. It’s not ideal, but hey, it worked.
I just hope that in the event of Trump actually being barred from the election, Democrats make it 100% clear that “Trump” isn’t an individual. He is the GOP. Every Republican…even Chris Christie is fine with Trump’s agenda. We aren’t just standing against a tacky spray-on tan and vulgarity.
It wouldn’t matter who the GOP put in front.. I wouldn’t vote for any of them because they are just wallpaper to the agenda. The agenda is bad, the ideology is bad and the goals are the same with or without Trump.
The reason for voting for Biden is not the issue.

I feel like we already went through this in 2020 no? Biden was my 5th choice. I feel like the democrats have many many other better options than biden. However, the majority of dems have decided that biden is the only option that beats trump. When biden (hopefully) wins in 2024, i hope that the party is able to acknowledge this and then support gretchen witmer or ted lieu or someone more in tune with the modern democratic party.

I was not happy about voting for Biden in 2020. But he won me over for 2024 and I think he has done a great job. Some of his policies have genuinely helped me personally (I.e. student loan plans).
Regardless though, first thing is saving our democracy. We can confidently say Biden is not a fascist. The other guy is. That should be enough for everyone to at minimum hold their fucking nose and vote Biden. If you want a different kind of candidate in 2028, start organizing and get people to actually vote in the primary.
Trump is the current face of the Fascist movement, but voters should be motivated to stop All Republicans, because they are all as bad or worse than Trump. The Anti-Trump Republicans that make the news are simply that, Anti-Trump. They love everything he has done and said and plans, they just want a different monster at the top.
I love Biden. He was my first choice and I think he’s exceeded my expectations. That said, trump is trying to end democracy. I’d vote for Pence if it meant he isn’t able to try to overthrow our actual country.

Voting for Biden is a vote to stop the bleeding to death of the US. We were *hemorrhaging* under Tump. If Tump is elected again, he’s going to tear a gaping hole in our country that would most likely never be fixed. And we’d never be the same again. Yeah, it’s a scenario where it feels like someone is asking you to either cut-off your hand or your foot. And that the lesser of two evils is still evil. But damn, at least the US will still have the opportunity to continue towards improving itself rather than the opposite.
Biden has grown on me and genuinely given what he stepped into he’s done a good job, we are waaay better off than I thought we’d be after Covid and if I didn’t live in Florida I’d probably feel a lot less financially stressed.
Yes, in a battle between two right wing options, I will always vote for the person who is less right wing. That’s Biden. If we can get a left wing option sometime, I would probably lose my shit.

The sad part is that Biden in a vacuum is delivered on a lot of bipartisan and some progressive policy, but most people are still just voting anti-trump.

Not super nuts on Biden, he’s ok, could be way more assertive on Ukrainian aid, and getting better stuff there much faster earlier like when the Dems controlled the house… not good on him.

I think Mr. Biden has done an adequate job but not a great job. He will not go down as the greatest President of all time but he was the right person for the job in 2020 and he will be the best option in 2024. I am not excited about voting for him as I would prefer the Democrats move to younger people in their top spots. I will damn sure show up to vote against every republican but I feel the best about voting against trump.
