So dangerous bikes and scooters squeezing past you on the path with oncoming traffic.
Surprised it’s not a daily occurrence.
My son wanted to have one too but I told him no because it would shorten his life
Greenfields is in Kilcohan area so in Waterford city. I could hear the sirens to beat the band.
Obviously who was in the wrong isn’t known but the use of those scooters is widespread in John’s Park/Kilcohan area and often pretty reckless
The amount of times I’ve nearly been taken out of it walking on the footpaths by these yokes is something else , I understand people need to get around some how but they are lethal
I genuinely get a little pang of anxiety every time I come across an escooter on the road. I get so nervous around them. It feels like a lot of riders are highly unpredictable.
New laws need to be brought in. Like if your riding an electric scooter, you need a helmet and leathers, like you do on a motorbike. Coming off a vehicle of any kind at around 30 kph is going to do you some damage, if not worse, like these poor lads. Condolences to all involved.
The quality of the escooters is so wildly different that it concerns me for the user. There is a lad on my road and I have gone down the road behind him a few times and when it’s wet the amount of times his wheels slip out to the side is scary.
Jesus, the Qashqai = F350 Lycra crowd are out in full force in this thread, you’d think they’d have something better to be doing, like cycling in the dark with no lights while dressed all in black….
E scooters and vapes will go down in history as two of the most unnecessary inventions ever designed
