Hi there!
I recently graduated from KU Leuven and returned to my home country. I am in the process of applying for a Spanish Work Visa and was asked to have my Belgian Degree apostilled.
I haven’t been able to find any concrete procedure instructions, even on KUL’s website: https://www.kuleuven.be/english/admissions/recognition-degree
It seems that the apostille needs to be requested by an authorized person – such as a notary, municipality, or an authority that issued the document, but KUL says clearly on their website that they do not help with this.
I know that apostilles in BE are issued digitally. In fact, the process for the criminal background check and apostille was super straightforward and I received it online within a day!
If anyone has any experience with this, any guidance would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
