Weird situation this morning, I was driving on a main road (70 km/h) and a had to turn right at some point to enter a village. Problem is there was another small road on the right before mine (less than 100 m I checked on google maps). I turn on my right indicator well before decelerating (to turn for the second right then) and at this moment a car arrived from the first road. Thinking I was going to turn directly, the car entered the main road and cut me off. I hit my brakes and finally stopped on the roadside to avoid the crash, fortunately there was nothing/no one there.
Obviously followed a discussion with the other driver and who was in fault. The problem is we had the impression that no one made a mistake in this situation, and so far I did not find answer in the traffic code.
So according to you who’s right? I would say myself because in the end it’s the other driver that cut me off. But in the same time it would mean that an indicator is not a certainty you’re going to turn? Then meaning that you cannot in fact never use any indicators from another car to anticipate and enter a roundabout by example (which I’m doing each time honestly) or any other similar situation?
