Yeah, it’s outrageous that Biden took all of these documents and refused to give them back, then hid them, then moved them, then refused to fully comply with multiple legal requests to return them, then tried to get his subordinates to destory evidence.

Yeah well, he also voluntarily gave them back. Unlike Trump, who lied that he had them, denied he had them, got caught showing them off to random people, gave back only a few boxes after about 50 letters and deleted evidence he had them. The two cases couldn’t be anymore different.

Facts are irrelevant to Trump. He sees everything as a potential weapon.
Knowing that his fanbase are not deep thinkers, he can potentially turn almost anything into a weapon so compelling that people will make death threats over it.
I am glad that Pence and Biden readily turned over documents which had been misplaced, and I am also glad that many of the documents Trump willfully diverted and withheld have also been recovered.
Patriots would not intentionally keep nor attempt to hide those documents.

The dirty little (not so) secret about protecting classified information is that intent matters a lot more than people think. The system is actually fairly forgiving of mistakes, especially if you self-report. People accidentally mishandle classified all the time and the penalty is usually basically a slap on the wrist. People love to drop spicy anecdotes about how they knew a junior military member who got executed on the spot for accidentally leaving a secure area with some classified notes – but that just doesn’t really happen. This is doubly-true for senior officials who have a lot of need-to-know and more access than they know what to do with.
The *real* story is actually that a former POTUS was able to mishandle classified so belligerently and egregiously that he was actually able to get into real trouble for it. That’s insane, and required real dedication on his part to accomplish.
They didn’t press charges on him for the same reason they didn’t charge pence. The difference between trump and Biden is Biden didn’t interfere, tamper with, or obstruct the investigation and turned over all documents when asked the first time. If trump wasn’t such an asshole, he wouldn’t have been charged either.
Well, let’s see — Biden immediately reported the presence of the documents to the proper authority and promptly returned them. Trump on the other hand purposefully hid them, believed they were his personal property, showed them around to people, and had to have the FBI search his home when he refused to return them after more than a year.

Trump isn’t being charged for any of the documents willingly returned to the National Archives. He’s being charged for the documents he retained.
Same thing with Biden. He’s only being charged for the documents Biden retained after being asked to return them to the Archives. That’s why there are no charges for Biden.
