Trump Gives Away the Game With January 6 Confession in New Recording: A new audio recording reveals Trump admitting that he could have stopped the January 6 “problem” all on his own.

Newly released audio from an interview recorded just two months after January 6 captures Donald Trump’s real thoughts on the insurrection. In his own words, the former president claimed it was within his abilities to stop the riot.
How many coffin nails are left? Seems like not many.
No shit. I can solve all the problems I cause. We all can. Just don’t do it.
It’s truly remarkable just how much evidence and confessions by Trump are in audio interviews or first hand accounts that never come out until the person who conducted it or heard it is releasing ‘their book’.
Whether it be actual people working in the Trump administration, or “journalists” who sat on it for months or years.
When I heard this recording initially there was one thing I found amusing in the “Trump pwns self” category. He claimed the crowd was his biggest in history. I thought his inauguration crowd was supposed to be the biggest ever.
Stopped it?!? Fuck, this sack of shit could have prevented it.
And Jonathan Karl has been sitting on this information — *suppressing this information* — to sell more books when the time is right for him to get richer. He’s deplorable, too.
Confirmation of the obvious.
He was mad that the Secret Service scanned for weapons. He really did attempt a coup.
And…He sat there watching it unfold on tv and didn’t lift a finger. Finally going on tv saying he “loved” them all, then, blaming it all on antifa.
Why would antifa and BLM stop rioting because Trump told them to?
Narcissism is one hell of a drug, he could have and shut down a lot of things but his ego wouldn’t let him.
I would argue he *did* stop it.
He just waited all day to do it. As soon as he said go home they left. Almost like they were acting on his explicit orders the entire time.
I can imagine how well this will play for a Jury. Show video of a man smashing a police officer, then side by side have Trump’s face and the audio “I could have stopped it”. Then show another video of the podium being stolen “I could have stopped it”. Show Ashli Babbitt’s grave. “I could have stopped it”. No one needed to be injured or die and no obstruction of the count should have happened. Trump did EVERYTHING.
This is great. We have him on tape confessing to his intent on Jan 6.
However.
the tape could have captured him spelling it out in even more detail — *I wanted to go down there to stop the peaceful transition of power and to deliver Mike Pence to the mob to be hanged* — and the GOP voters and congress would not care.
>”I was thinking about going back during the problem to stop the problem, doing it myself. Secret Service didn’t like that idea too much.”
In trump’s mind, “the problem” that needed to be stopped was not the insurrection, but rather the counting of Electoral College votes.
He thinks that if he had gone to the Capitol he could have stopped the count and remained POTUS after Jan. 20th. Why would he think that? Because he’s a delusional megalomaniac with a god complex.
The way this guy talks i’d be one of the first to be rounded up and imprisoned because I’ll never bend the knee. So I’ll call for it first. String ‘em up before the looney’s try to do it to us.
>“And I could’ve done that,” Trump continued. “And you know what? I would have been very well received. **Don’t forget, the people that went to Washington that day, in my opinion, they went because they thought the election was rigged. That’s why they went**.”
You don’t say?
His mouth is his own greatest threat/
I have a feeling when Trump says he could’ve “stopped the problem,” he doesn’t mean get the insurrectionists to back down.
He wanted to walk into the Capitol at the head of the mob. In his mind, the “problem” was that he lost the election. Seizing power certainly would’ve addressed that issue.
>“And I could’ve done that,” Trump continued. “And you know what? I would have been very well received. Don’t forget, the people that went to Washington that day, in my opinion, they went because they thought the election was rigged. That’s why they went.”
Alright, so this is Trump saying it *wasn’t* Antifa then, right? These were his guys. They weren’t sent by Pelosi or whatever conspiracy theory is coming out of the right-wing cesspools. It’s a line I’ve heard from my relatives in the cult, but I often wonder if they even believe it themselves.
Why all the shenanigans and NOT just start with this?
Because he alone can fix it
Lock this traitor up already
Not a lawyer but he’s also saying they were only rioting because they thought the election was rigged. It’s been established elsewhere that such sentiment was only caused by him. So this means, in a lay, logical sense, he directly caused this riot and he knows it.
We sorta all knew that already but this makes it, again from a lay, non lawyer point of view, plainly obvious.
And nothing will change
Once again, what an idiot.
>”I was going to,” Trump said in the recording, first published by CNN. “And then Secret Service said ‘you can’t’, and then by the time … I was thinking about going back during the problem to stop the problem, doing it myself. Secret Service didn’t like that idea too much.”
Wait, why did he think all of those Antifa operatives would listen to *him?* I’m confused 😕
That’s crazy, so “ghost busses” filled with “deep state ANTIFA agents” were under Trump’s control?
