Gorgeous Vinnie is seeking his Forever Family!

  1. Vinnie is a 14 month old Deerhound cross. He needs a very special and patient family who will be prepared to work with him and give him the training and care that he needs. Vinnie was previously adopted, but was returned to us when the family members went back to work, as he had been used to constant company and then found himself alone and became anxious.

    .

Ideally he should go to a home where there is someone at home with him most of or all of the day, and he would also benefit with the company of another dog. Vinnie is very good on the lead and he loves his walks. He is not at all reactive to other dogs when out walking.

Vinnie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped (chip number 972274200189708, origin Ireland).
If you are interested in offering Vinnie a home, please complete and return the expression of interest form that can be found on our website, http://www.kwwspca.ie

    No calls please.

We ask for a minimum donation of €200 when we rehome a dog to partly offset our veterinary and other expenses. A dog licence and collar tag are required to complete the adoption, and a secure garden is required. KWWSPCA is a registered charity (number CHY 6280) and is registered with the Charities Regulatory Authority (number 20011048). DAFM reg number IPT200001C

*We are a rescue based in Athgarvan, Co. Kildare, however we are happy to rehome anywhere in Ireland once prospective adopters are happy to travel*

  2. Would love to adopt a dog, myself and my wife both WFH.

the problem is that nowhere will entertain us because we have a 7 year old son.

He has been around dogs his whole life, most notable a Border Collie and a large breed mountain dog type that my wife’s brother owns.

He knows dogs and how to behave around them.

    But no. Computer says no.

Even on that website now there’s a dog that looks perfect for us, but there’s a stipulation about 10 year old kids.

Nonsense if you ask me, we’d provide a kind, loving and nurturing home for any dog, especially a rescue, but we are unable to adopt one because of this silly blanket rule.

  3. Would love to adopt a dog but the rules are very strict. Totally understand why they are though. Sadly if I want a dog I’ll have to buy one like my current dog.

  4. Looks like a lovely dog. Had a poke around the website and I really do think what you do is great. I’m currently in the process of moving house so I’m not ready for a dog, but when I am I know where I will be looking. Hope he finds a good home.
