The line “The schools are safe” is one of the most transparent lies that have been told throughout this pandemic.
I would have much more respect for these clowns if they didn’t insult my intelligence by pretending that the schools are safe and that if my child contracts Covid which subsequently spreads to my family then it came from the home or elsewhere just definitely not the schools.
Just keep it real – level with the people and stop this embarrassing charade. If we can’t afford to lockdown the schools because of the knock-on effects that this will have on the economy, that’s fine. If we can’t allow our kids to miss anymore school due to previous lockdowns, that’s fine too.
Just stop with lies and trying to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes. You’re gonna need a bigger sheep….
For anyone curious this data is released weekly here:
No, schools are safe…… we never said schools were safe
If, instead of peddling the blatant lie of “the schools are safe” the government had instead said something along the lines of “schools are responsible for transmission of Covid, but they’re too important to close because of the impact that has on childrens’ education and development”, I think we would be far more forgiving and understanding.
That’s it? It’s not even 1 breakout per school. Grand.
Not bad considering. Always an argument to vilify schools but they must stay open. Irony is the three biggest spikes we had all happened when they were closed.
The teachers and pupils are yet to come back fully locally where I am !!
