What is Russia’s logic for the current crisis?

  1. It’s deeply imperialistic and revanchist and its dictator needs to get public attention away from economic problems and further falling into authoritarianism.

  2. To understand Russia’s logic is to flip the question around, what would the U.S do if China or Russia expanded a military alliance, say Cuba, Mexico etc next to the U.S’s borders. If we are to think of it fiarly, will we pronounce that it’s their sovereign right or will we say it’s an aggresive move that threathens U.S security. It’s difficult to answer this question fiarly because it will expose our own hyprocisy and nullify the baseless claims that Putin has imperialistic ambitions. The U.S would in react in a worse pattern if China or Russia was to even consider coming near their borders yet we seem to be shocked in awe that they seem irrirated that an alliance that is designed to counter them is getting ever closer like we have no idea why they are lashing out.

  3. What is motivation of maniak that wants to rape your wife and kill your children? Maybe that maniak has some logic in his wishes? Would you like to start duscussion with him?

Stop this bs. Russia should stop or it will be punished by armies and by sanctions. Nobody cares about motivations: stop or suffer.

  4. Aww f*k we are doomed! This deep analysis by Maxim A.Suchkov really convinced me that Putin doesn’t have any optiin. Better than prunes in a milkshake /s.

Moreover I now see that Russia is totally justified with their action and Murica is the global villain .. okay enough of /s.

The author (as in the article:) “is acting director of the Institute for International Studies at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). On twitter: @m_suchkov”.

His students must be of some commentaries above 😉
Don’t feed them too much 🙂

  5. Remarkable article that seems to revolve entirely around the idea that Europe doesn’t play any role in European security…
