  1. Richest 1% of the EU maybe also maybe pays over 50% of all taxes anyway…

  2. > footprints of the super-rich —whose carbon-hungry lifestyles and investments in polluting industries like fossil fuels are driving global warming— and the bulk of people across the world.

    Investments ….

So 2 people invest in the same thing.

    Person A invests 10 euros

    Person B invests 10000 euros.

Person B is now responsible for more CO2 emissions.

  3. I guess that’s good there are so many poor people in the EU. If everyone was rich, CO2 emission would skyrocket

  4. Don’t worry, climate activists stopped the Vienna morning traffic and sprayed the ground with orange paint. Mission accomplished.

  5. I wonder what the millionaire activist Greta thinks about that?

  6. While this sounds bad, this is probably an very healthy ratio compared to other regions of the world.

  7. There’s no article, just a headline. Where are the arguments, the numbers?

  8. So what?

Private jets pollute more per passenger than commercial flights. Private cars pollute more than public transportation. Sports cars pollute more than economy cars. Having a big house pollutes more than apartment buildings. Having new electronics replaced every year pollutes more than using a Nokia from 2005.

We all know this. This is nothing new. Yet every few weeks there’s a new “hate the rich” rage bait research advertised.

Guess what, if you want something to be illegal, get the votes and make it illegal. Until then, people’s money is their own to do whatever they want to.
