No details about the price? or is this info behind the registerwall?
The energy companies in the EU and UK were offered similar deals in the past but in their usual short sighted race for maximising short term profit decided they preferred to do spot pricing instead and now it’s biting them in the arse. In the UK at least the government puts a price cap on gas and electricity for domestic use so these very same companies are now being forced to sell energy to most of their domestic customers (apparently around 60% of them) at below cost price. Good, fuck em.
This is what Europe should be doing. Long term deals to lock in a low standard price but watch as they cry foul and blame Gazprom over the coming years when snap winters drop in.
