My parents (living abroad) is transferring a house to me (living in Finland). Do I get it right that gift tax does not apply to my circumstance? According to the examples listed in this link, there is no mention of gift tax for real estate situated abroad:

  1. It looks that if neither the donor nor the property are not in Finland then it’s not taxable in Finland. As I’m just a random redditor, it is of course best to check that with the tax office.
    Note also that even though there would be no taxes in Finland, there may be taxes in your parents’ country.
