Argentina’s New President Wants to Adopt the U.S. Dollar as the National Currency

  1. Most countries will adopt the USD sooner than later anyway. They’re essentially trading 150% (if it’s even that low) inflation rate for the Fed’s ~4% inflation rate. I heard a statistic that the amount of dollars that already there in the grey market (called blue dollars) could possibly already pay off most of their country’s debt (~$400 billion).

    It just goes to show that the Argentinian people make do and are very productive regardless of their central banks addiction to the money printer.
