  1. The article does point out that a lot of the addon fees are just profiteering.

    >$12 for a blood pressure check; $50 per injection (more for insulin); $93 a month to order medications from a pharmacy not used by the facility; $315 a month for daily help with an inhaler.

    And this is on top of the $5,000 a month or more charged.

  2. A rocking chair and some entertainment costs less. I mean you need to be okay with some body functions that everyone does.

    $60k is greater than my annual income.
    $60k is greater than median individual income and only slightly less than median family income.
