Was the express as bad back then as it is now, or was it more fact based?
A bottle of Dimple for £3, what a time to be alive.
£2.49 in 1974 is the equivalent of £22.56 today. Wouldn’t say a huge difference. In fact that 12 pack of Tennents is worth £14.68 now which would get you 15 can pack in Asda these days.
What happened to all those old blended whiskies? I remember them all well, but there are only two or three left that you ever see in the UK now.

From a time when there always used to be a bottle of Advocaat knocking about on Ne’erday with only the neck out of it.
10 years later it became GG Brothers.

And the fella that owned it died this year.

I like the “drysac” 😉
Should be Dry Sack, I believe. Which actually came (!) in an actual sack as I recall. Yup, [this](https://web-wine-live.s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/s3fs-public/IMG_7201.JPG) was it.
