I remember those well. Good for cooking with but they did not taste good as a drink. Cheap though. I’ve not seen anything like these for years now. They used to do the little cartons as well as the full size ones.
Uni classic that. Cheapest way to get drunk before going out.
This was a uni staple for me c. 2011. They also used to come in 1L cartons.

I won a rosé carton in an Xmas pass the parcel a few years back, remember it being very decent considering the price!
Chateau neuf d’tetrapak is my name for it, less than €2 for 1.5 litres in your Austrian supermarket of choice (And I’m sure also other European countries), perfectly drinkable and my go to when over there.
Apparently it’s “surplus” wine, so random quality and occasionally you get a stonking one.
We used to use it for cooking, cheap ingredient

The white is likely a blend of grapes, with airén as the main grape. Spanish, blended, table wine might be a good place to start.
