This sort of injustice is what causes vigilantism.
The problem here is not the sentence handed down by the Court but the fact that the charge itself only carries a maximum sentence of 2 years imprisonment. If he was charged with dangerous driving causing death it at least carries a maximum 10 year sentence and gives a judge more sentencing options. There isn’t even room for an undue leniency appeal by the DPP because of the max sentence and he has to be given credit for pleading vs trial. It’s all a travesty really
So he’s killed people in two separate incidents and he’s only serving 18 months ?
