I don’t understand how there were mitigating factors here. My wife had a miscarriage last year and to think of the mental and physical trauma that man put his gf through makes me sick. What an absolutely disgusting human being.
I know a mark of a developed society is supposed to be focusing on reforming those who commit crimes.
But there are some crimes I’d be fully in favour of just fucking punishing.
Sadism is necessary for any rape but to rape a woman after a miscarry is just evil, there’s a deep hatred for women in that man. Why let the cunt out?

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of rape crimes in Ireland being convicted lately? I wonder is it becoming more prominent or are people feeling they can more freely report it? I’ve just been seeing it on the media lately but I could be wrong but today alone I have read 3 different cases.

“Counsel said her client has been diagnosed with ADHD and is medicated in prison, which has been of benefit. She said when he is off his medication, his behaviour can be erratic and he has difficulties with anger management.
She said she has been instructed not to get a psychological report and said the accused is most anxious to have matter dealt with, accept his punishment and move on as best he can.”
Let me toss in this bullshit ADHD diagnosis but don’t actually check it out cos he’d rather get on with no charges your honour.
How these solicitors get away with this bullshit is amazing. I get they have to represent their case but they should have to be like doctors where they can just report this dodgy shit with no blowback
