Hi! My mom and I visit Norway every 5ish years, and one of our favorite treats is a long rectangular pastry filled with apple, and has a line of egg (maybe?) custard and a small drizzle of icing. It’s called weinerbrød or weinerstrang I think. You can find it in the bakery sections of most coop stores. We love this pastry but have never successfully found a recipe for it. I’m hoping to surprise her this holiday season making one, so if anyone knows the pastry I’m talking about and how to make it i would REALLY appreciate it!! Thank you!!

It wouldn’t let me add a photo but this is the pastry i’m looking for [https://www.frklyng.no/vart-utvalg/smabakst/wienerstang-med-eple/](https://www.frklyng.no/vart-utvalg/smabakst/wienerstang-med-eple/)

  1. If you google image “wienerstang med eple og vaniljekrem” is that the one you’re thinking about? I can’t find any recipes in English, only ones in Norwegian. Maybe you’ll find someone to translate for you? If not then I could link some Norwegian ones, and maybe you can Google translate enough to find something similar in English/your language?
