  1. This is either negligence on the commanders who should be court martialed or a conspiracy.

I hope this is inaccurate news but if real, someone needs to be held responsible. Especially those in charge who threatened to ignore it.

  3. Where did I heard something like this before. And look what happens

  4. It’s amazing how similar this is to the warnings Dubya Bush got and ignored.

  5. My conspiracy theory in all this is that Bibi’s government knew what was happening, but allowed it for political reasons given his declining power. Israel’s security apparatus is one of the most extensive in the world.

  6. Sounds like a couple things going on here, both of which need more corroboration and details before jumping to any sudden conclusions.

One is the warning signs. A good chain of command always listens to their eyes and ears on the ground. The second is survivor guilt. Assuming the lookout information is true, and knowing the end result of October 7th, it’s definitely affecting the mental health of those who survived. It’s natural for survivors to question “what if…what if I had…etc.”. That’s going to be hard on those who did report things, who should’ve reported things, and who got overpowered on the fence line and in the guard towers.

  7. Didn’t the exact same thing happen in 1973? They heard all this chatter and the higher ups were like “whatever”.

  8. Usually I don’t see the world this way, but since learning about this story, I wonder whether the male commanders dismissed the lookouts’ concerns just because they were females.

  9. Until a complete investigation is made i won’t trust news letters going he said she said about what happened.

I saw people’s claiming that Egypt knew about it, that the Israeli government knew about and let it happened anyway.

  10. A [more detailed article](https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2023-11-20/ty-article-magazine/.premium/the-women-soldiers-who-warned-of-a-pending-hamas-attack-and-were-ignored/0000018b-ed76-d4f0-affb-eff740150000?utm_source=App_Share&utm_medium=iOS_Native) from Haaretz also includes important context – the fact that this role is only performed by young women, and a photo of the women who performed this role and were victims on October 7. There’s a huge element of men not believing women in this story. Tale as old as time.

  11. Netanyahu threw his own people under the bus to justify a war. Also the IDF was probably stretched thin in the West Bank, keeping the so called settlers and Palestinians off each others throats.

Just dumb, and awful all the way round.

  12. Unfortunately we now have the benefit of hindsight, but I wonder whether at the time there was anything in the reports that would have warranted further action
