Hello people,
For two days in a row I find some insects in my apartment and I have no idea where they came from and whether I need to worry and consider pesticides or other chemicals for removing them.
I saw them in the living room in 2 different places and I made a proper check around the apartment on the potential holes (I didn’t find any).
Most probably they do not have a real danger to my living, however, I do not like uninvited guests and I want them out.
My only guess was the old sofa that I inherited from previous tenants. That they could live somewhere inside.

  1. How is it that there are so many bugs in Germany.

    I’ve spent most of my life living in Northern latitudes but never seen anything like as many bugs as Germany has. Is it the green policies?

  2. These are some heteropterans, which I could try to identify further. However in any case these are harmless animals that entered your flat most likely through the windows to find a warm place to wait out the winter.

    EDIT: The first two images at least appear to be *Kleidocerys resedae*. Do you have many birches close to your home?
