  1. > “Studios, they weren’t coming to me in that way,” Ruffalo said of his mid-2000s career in a new interview with High Snobiety. “I’ll never forget when they were negotiating my deal [for Zodiac]. The studio negotiator literally said to my manager, ‘Look, we don’t give a shit about Mark Ruffalo. We don’t even want Mark Ruffalo in this movie, so you’re going to take what we’re offering you or forget it.”

The entire article is complaining that (aging mediocre actor) Mark Ruffalo is disappointed with his Hollywood career.

    *yawn*

  2. >The actor recalled Paramount Pictures reps telling his manager, “We don’t even want Mark Ruffalo in this movie.”

Relatable. I feel this way about most movies.

  3. I honestly forget these days, but do we like Mark Ruffalo or shit on him?

Tell me what my opinion is, internet.

  4. So fucking what? I’m sick of seeing this headline multiple times.

“Struggling actor told to either accept offer or not” fascinating stuff

  5. I have no hate for ruffalo, but his range is terrible. I think he’s poorly cast in 80% of movies he’s in. His casting in such a range of movies is more of a testament to him as a person and the brand he’s developed than his acting. And I do think he’s probably a good person in most of what I read about him so I keep my mouth shut until I’m asked specifically about him.

I think he’s best cast in movies where he can play more of an iteration of his true self than as a character actor playing something unnatural to him. I think some of his best acting was in Dark Waters.

  6. Everything aside, I thought he was a good Toschi. Zodiac is actually one of my favorite movies ever.
