The political situation in Moldova has changed rapidly since Maia Sandu elected and the country looking to the west for more cooperation. Both EU and Romania considered as Moldova’s allies while Russia lose its influence in the country.

It’s interesting to consider how the EU would approach the issue of a non-member state integrating with a member state.

Many Moldovans have Romanian citizenship to live and work in the EU. I think that these Moldovans would definitely want them to be one country.

Romanian here, no.
Moldova has many issues, such as Russian sympathisers making nearly 50% of the country and a low level of education. Our country is already doing horribly, and unifying with Moldova would just make life worse.

With the combined strength Greater Romania would last 1 day longer against invading Russia, after it has finished Ukraine. Go for it guys!
