Christie and Nikki the only republicans talking any kind of sense rn but have zero chance of winning the Republican nomination. If trump is unable to run for legal reasons, the nomination goes to the next maga candidate in line. Who will lose to Biden because they are not trump and won’t bring out the rabid trump cult on voting day.

There are many Republicans like Christie who understand the situation clearly, the problem is the loudest voices are drowning them out even if they’re the minority.
Democrats should come out in droves and just vote for Chris Christie in the Republican primaries. Then vote for whoever in the actual elections.
Christie was our governor and he royally screwed our finances, education, and infrastructure. He is your standard Republican. He did believe in bipartisanship which is the core of democracy

I have no time for Lachlan Murdoch and Fox but I was really happy to see Lachlan in Kyiv , talking to Zekensky and he was accompanied by a reporter from the Sun who was seriously injured very early in the conflict to receive a medal from Zelensky. It is incredibly important that we all get behind Ukraine in their struggle against this outrageous aggression from Russia and I am confident that is exactly what Lachlan was telling Zelensky.
I have complete confidence in Republicans, Chris Christie and Haley who are both staunch supporters of Ukraine.
Then we have Donald J. Trump and his amoeba brained maggot MAGAs and Tucker Carlson who Trump mentioned recently as a possible running mate. They are firmly on the side of Putin and Russia. It would be a disaster if Trump were to get back in the White House.
As a former New Jerseyan, I can’t say I like this guy but at least he is well informed about the dynamics at play in this respect.

The 5% of yearly pentagon budget is a but misleading. That’s the monetary value of the equipment but a lot of it is stuff that would otherwise just sit in storage indefinitely. Stuff that would require maintenence to be kept in working condition in warehouses that also cost money to maintain.
Donations also include weaponry that would have to be decommissioned and dismantled, costing money to do so. Donating those weapons is saving money by rapidly dismantling them at russian targets.

The stark contrast between someone calmly acknowledging basic commonly known facts and the absolutely brain melting nonsense coming from the now mainstream GOP really shows how completely divorced from objective reality they have become. There is virtually no common ground between the MAGA cult and the pre Sarah Palin / Tea Party Republican party. They’ve truly gone all in on playing make believe for the sake of manufactured outrage and terror, and have nothing whatsoever of substance to offer.
Until they resolve the fact that 30 russian operatives in the government can stop all aid to Ukraine, things are only going to get worse no matter how many sane voices give their opinion. America really does have a russia problem right now and if they do not resolve it fast it could eventually end up with America having a civil war soon, maybe even before russia does.

Not only 5% of the budget for 50% of hardware but no US/NATO men/and women are dying. Ukraine is paying dearly with there brave men/women.

I am an old lefty but if he runs and gets the nomination I would vote for him in spite of all the shifty shit going on behind the scene. He said one truth, we did promise and he is rational and balanced. I will vote for Biden as well there is no other choice but is trumpistas or an 80 year old man. Sigh…..what a place we have come to.
I’m surprised, but this is one of the few Republican candidates that makes any sense. Maybe a good alternative to Trump.
