Today after doing a bit of Christmas shopping I came to the realisation that the choice of gift for my daughters birthday this year was a massive mistake. I mean MASSIVE.
We bought her a Sylvanian Families house and a few of the different animal families, what we didn’t know was the houses come pretty bare and you need to decorate them yourself with stand alone furniture sets.
Even more expensive than those sets though was the “lighting” and curtains for the houses

“Hey, shall we go see AC/DC at Newcastle City Hall?”
Nah, will catch their next tour, we’ll go see {band} instead.
Bon Scott died.
For me AC/DC were never the same

Ok, on a less serious note…
Probably when I chipped a tooth by climbing UP a metal tube slide while another kid was sliding down it, knocking me over and causing me to face-plant into the metal.
I’m not sure yet. I invested a great deal of money in a business that I work for last year and it’s still a struggle to generate cash flow. I have points. It’s looking better than it did 3 months ago. In a year I will know: ‘Put it down to experience’, or, ‘Good return.’
Dating someone who was ugly bc of pity and thinking maybe they are beautiful inside and then them turn out to be ugliest inside. True story made my life a living nightmare for a while wit that ex
To try and save some money, have a look on eBay for second hand Sylvanian Families furniture etc…I’ve had some real bargains on furniture sets and families that are really like new. You could buy a nice decorative box to put them in and give as a present.
I thought that was the price of real lights and curtains. Not for a dolls house.
Get battery operated fairly lights from the poundshop and some felt from Hobby cra
Not asking her out..
Far from the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, but my current questionable decision is building my own table. I couldn’t find the dimensions I wanted so I bought something called a “Kee Klamp” system for the frame. Basically they’re very heavy duty metal parts which can be clamped rather than welded. I spent over £200 on the frame alone, but I also decided to spray it. I’m getting through so many cans of etch primer and metallic top coat that I’m already approaching quarter of the cost of the frame in paint! And I don’t even have a top for it yet.
Back in the 90s i was driving through a tunnel in Paris in a little white rented Fiat, lost control a bit and clipped this big Mercedes limousine.
Still, didn’t seem to be any cameras, and I never heard any more about it.
I got a single digit wrong in an input file for my simulations that ruined my results in my PhD thesis.
