Four bodies recovered in search for missing teenagers
Four bodies have been recovered from a car which appears to have left the road in Garreg, near Tremadog, North Wales Police have said.
It comes following a search for Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris.
Superintendent Owain Llewellyn said: “At present, this appears to have been a tragic accident, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the four young men at this very difficult time.
“This has been an extensive search involving a number of different agencies and volunteers, and this is sadly not the outcome that any of us would have wanted.
“We would ask that the family be afforded the appropriate privacy and respect.”
Tragic news. Conditions can turn quickly out there, and if you are inadequately prepared, it doesn’t take long before exposure becomes lethal.
Edit: It seems they were found in their car, so maybe it wasn’t exposure.
This is beyond sad. It’s just tragic for their families. RIP
Terrible – Four lads just out for a camping weekend. The most normal of activities turned into tragedy.
How awful, was hoping they’d be found if they were lost but it seems they died in a car crash

I think I read one kid had lied about where he was going as well. A horrible thing for a parent to go through
My son is a similar age to these boys and has also just passed his test. Him and his friends, who have also recently passed their driving tests, often go driving around the North Yorks Moor and I’m always worried whenever they do.
They’re all sensible lads but if you’re not used to these type of roads you can easily be caught out.
Properly awful, I had hoped they were just going to be found stoned off their tits in a bothy or something 🙁
Seems mad to go camping In Wales in November… So sad.
Inexperienced driver, twisty roads, potential swerve to avoid a deer or just wreckless driving and understeer?
Seems the car was found submerged in water, what a horrible situation.
Terrible. Some country roads around Wales especially in North Wales need to be taken with extreme caution.
Heartbreaking for the families. I look back at the way I and some of my mates drove at that age and it could easily have been us.
Ah – crap. I thought it could go this way when they said that Air Ambulance attended. I guess they had an accident?
