Wow that’s massive. Armenia was always dependent on Russia.
doubt
Unless the west would be providing Armenia with military aid to replace this, I’d be surprised if Armenia agreed to it. Don’t get me wrong, they are certainly more willing to thumb their nose at Russia recently, but can’t fathom they’d weaken their military in the face of potential continued/future conflict with Azerbaijan.
Rybar and bulgarianmilitary.com, I don’t know which is less credible.
That’s not a S-300 system in the photo. More like Tochka-U
Seriously?
This would be gigantic if true, but it’s hard to imagine a country that’s been invaded twice in recent memory giving up weapons.
Doubt it, Azerbaijan still has territorial claims on certain pieces of Armenia, and after the whole Nagorno-karabakh crisis Azerbaijan has likely been emboldened. Armenia is in no position to redirect its own military equipment
Yeah I really doubt that given they’ve fought two wars with a neighbour who’s currently much more powerful than them
I’m curious to see how this plays out, as the security concerns in Armenia are still evident & unless they get improved replacements or a valid security guarantee I don’t see how they can afford to do this. Many good Azerbaijani people exist, but Armenia has always deserved better support from “Western” countries. Our military & corporate/industrial economies should be able to better produce needed supplies for Ukraine, we just need to harness public ingenuity & demand better of our governments!
Armenia will say anything to be on the good side on anyone. They have completely lost the plot. But west is so naive and think Armenia wants to be pre Europe.
They are politically fully controlled by ruzzia and any outreach (pro democracy) statement are only there so sell a lie.
