  1. I wonder what the common contributing factors are. It’s not climate. It’s not cuisine. It’s not wealth. Maybe it’s not common factors but different factors?

  2. Other factors are health system, family-social factors, especially for elders. Weather might have a great impact on mental health too.

Eating more whole foods surely benefits too.

  3. I think that caring for elders, be it the happiness that the own family gives, or a good healthcare system, do wonders.

If you feel lonely and not taken cared of, after yours 70s, you will not live long.

  4. “life expectancy” being used as a measure of something universally good to me has always been a little… disingenuous. There’s no correlation between your life expectancy and the quality of said life in the years beyond other nations life expectancy. I know people will disagree, but I hope we can be civilized about it. Personally I’d much rather live a full life and die at 50 than die at 80 after 30 years of suffering. I know that’s extreme, but you get my point I hope.

  5. Long life is great for the people, however for the economy it’s not so great. Especially if your birthrate is diving.
