  1. I doubt any organisation owning said window and roof would let you – a private homeowner would be a better bet.

My boarding school had a bunch of roofs like that, which I understand now have bars across the windows to stop people hanging out on the roof.

  2. Yes, the old hotels in and around Paddington. Several have rooms with these windows. I stayed in one called Rose Court years back and sat outside a couple of times. Not sure if they knew but they didn’t mention it.

  3. Almost certainly not, unless you are prepared to pay a few hundred pounds for the privilege, as sitting on the roof tiles like that will most likely break them.

  4. Someone’s looking for Neverwhere.

I don’t blame them. It feels like a lovely place.

  5. Half the people who live on Dalston Kingsland High Road do this during the summer!

It’s very common around here IF you have a place on the second/third floors.

  6. If you’re handy with a lock pick and disabling electronic alarms then yes. But it doesn’t even look comfortable. When I lived on Chiswick High Road our house had a flat roof and we did a few barbecues there. Not that enjoyable tbh, it was just for the novelty value.

Book a free slot at the Sky Garden for some nice views and a relaxing atmosphere

  7. My friends lived in a student flat that looked like this. But we’d be on the roof smoking rather than reading a nice book. One house party someone fell through the roof, and once that was resolved all the flats got locked bars on the windows. Spoil sports.

  8. I doubt. No any public place at least. It’s due to health and safety rules.
