Some areas would require considerably more than $120,000. I suppose it would depend on your needs and wants. The question is, what would be needed, as far as the theoretical exponential growth rate of your income and assets, if you are making $120,000 in 2023, to maintain the desired area of choice, long term. Then, the next question, would you be able to built an appropriate nest egg to retire in the long run? For many people, it may be difficult, if not virtually impossible.
Guess my kids get to live in my house forever.
Id say 180 k in New England sucks!!!!!
Would say about 150k in nyc pretty sure that’s enough. Honestly either everything has to go down or our wages just need to rise by double
These people really need to work on their budgets…
$1000 a month on groceries and you have no kids or pets?
150 for cell phone? you can get unlimited $25/month per line.
maybe cancel subscriptions for $100/month?
These videos are not even realistic at all. Not evening saying what area because 120k is not much in NYC but 120k is a lot in small town in midwest.
These mf’s just make up budget numbers I swear
If I were making an extra 50k a year I’d be living pretty in the Mid-West. I’d say it’s regional(MN here)
Fuck him for that break down
It’s relative to where you live. $120k in Boston is middle class as fuck.
When no one can afford anything, then what? What is the endgame of the masters?
I’m at that range of income and live in a top 3 expensive city. I could easily survive by myself. My expenses in general are hovering around $2k. The numbers this dude brought up are crazy
Hate to burst this guys bubble, but assuming are saving for retirement and paying for employer health insurance….you’d need to make closer to $150k to net $7,800 a month.
