I live in a dark red Trump +20 state. If you live in a swing state, you’re voting for me too.
I hope you’ll think of me when you cast your ballot.
We already know what it is.
You may hate Biden, but if you want the chance to vote for someone better next time you have to vote for him and Democrats all the way down the ticket in 2024.
If Republicans win, participation in government by regular citizens is over and that’s not even the worst of what will come.
If more Republicans would be plain spoken about these things, the party would be forced to move on more quickly. There’s still this perceived need to kiss up to Trump.
The people who know him best all agree on how bad he’ll be for the country if he’s elected again. It’s like living a slow motion nightmare.
>I think everybody should vote for Joe Biden if they want our democracy to survive
Some here are advocating relocation to swing states to bolster blue voting. IMO, that merely dilutes the blue in deep red states, dilutes the blue vote on down ticket races, IMO, the red states need your votes for local elections, the red states are changing the voting rules to try and achieve permanent red status. The only way to halt or even reverse this process is local and state elections going blue.
>“I will say that my door is completely shut to voting for Donald Trump,” Hutchinson said. ”And the only reason that I will not endorse a candidate right now is because I still am hopeful that Donald Trump does not end up being the nominee next year. I think our country will be in a much better place overall.”
>
>“But what I will say, too, though, is I think everybody should vote for Joe Biden if they want our democracy to survive,” she added.
Keep in mind she’s not a very experienced interviewee and while she should’ve been better prepared for an obvious question, it’s not hard to parse what she said into something that makes sense. She’s still very much a Republican and would likely vote for a Trump party candidate as long as it wasn’t Trump himself.
As naive as that may be, it’s worth pointing out to anyone not fully indoctrinated into the Trump cult as another example of those close to Trump willing to vote in extreme opposition because they know how bad he actually is.
Trump has been found by courts of law to be both a rapist and an insurrectionist. Over 70 million people are completely okay with that. They really need to be stopped.
> Cassidy Hutchinson Gives Dark Reason Why ‘Everybody Should Vote For Joe Biden’
It is because Joe Biden won’t attempt to overpower secret service agents in the presidential vehicle but Trump will.
I can’t believe anyone needs convincing
I listened to a podcast with her a few days ago where she said one of the biggest issues is that nobody with any morality will associate with trump anymore. So it’s not just trump that’ll be the issue, it’s that EVERY person in his cabinet will be awful.
The crazy thing is she still considers herself republican, what in the actual fuck could a young woman get out of that mess?
She’s not going to endorse a candidate, but says everyone should vote for Biden?? I, uh… I’m not sure what she’s trying to do here.
And a reminder: she’s said she is proud of ALMOST everything the Trump administration did. She just jumped off the bandwagon when she was forced to get a new lawyer. Before that she was a team player. So let’s not pretend she’s some altruistic hero.
“I think everybody should vote for Joe Biden if they want our democracy to survive,” is a great addition to my list of quotes about Trump from people who used to work for him:
John F. Kelly, Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, Homeland Security Secretary and Retired Marine General (Nov. 13, 2023): “A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’ A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ … A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law. … God help us.”
James N. Mattis, Trump’s First Defense Secretary, Retired Marine General (Nov. 13, 2023): “The first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people. … Instead, he tries to divide us.”
Mark Esper, Trump’s Second Defense Secretary (Nov. 13, 2023): “He’s unfit for office. … His actions are all about him and not about the country. And then, of course, I believe he has integrity and character issues as well.”
Thomas P. Bossert, Trump’s White House Homeland Security and Counter-terrorism Advisor (Oct. 3, 2023): “Trump ‘undermined American democracy baselessly for months. As a result, he’s culpable for this [Jan. 6] siege, and an utter disgrace.'”
Alyssa Farah Griffin, Trump’s White House Communications Director (Oct. 3, 2023): “We’re all saying the same thing: We worked with him, we know him and we’re telling you, America — this man is unfit to be president. And a second term would be more dangerous than the first.”
William Barr, Trump’s Second Attorney General (Jan. 6, 2021): “A very petty individual who will always put his interests ahead of the country’s.” He “shouldn’t be anywhere near the Oval Office.”
Richard Spencer, Trump’s Secretary of the Navy (Oct. 3, 2023): “Trump ‘has very little understanding of what it means to be in the military, to fight ethically or to be governed by a uniform set of rules and practices.'”
Mike Pence, Trump’s Vice President (Jan. 6, 2021): “President Trump also demanded I choose between him and our Constitution. … Anyone who puts themselves over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.”
Gary Cohn, Trump’s First Director of the White House National Economic Council (Nov. 19, 2023): “It’s not what we did for the country. It’s what we saved him from doing.”
Rex Tillerson, Trump’s First Secretary of State (Nov. 19, 2023): “A moron.”
John Bolton, Trump’s Third National Security Advisor (Nov. 19, 2023): “I’ve been in those rooms with him when he’s met with those [foreign] leaders. I believe they think he is a laughing fool.”
H.R. McMaster, Trump’s Second National Security Advisor, Retired Army Lieutenant General (Nov. 19, 2023): “A dope.”
How about end of the world
This isn’t a game.
***Trump is literally promising to turn us into a modern day Nazi Inspired State.***
Firing from any federal job. Endless political prosecution for ***all*** democrats, forcing millions to flee the country.
Concentration camps for his political enemies, minorities, and anyone his allies deem unfit.
Complete abandonment of civil rights and freedoms.
Endless martial law enforced by his own army of MAGA extremists in every courthouse, police hq, and federal facility.
Many states will fight back, a likely deadly balkan like civil war will follow where americans will be killing each other enmase.
But Biden is too old.
These aren’t jokes, they aren’t threats… this is what his plan is.
But people are still out here talking about how “Biden’s too old?”. Great, so we’ll just turn our country into a fascist regime because Joe can’t run up stairs anymore? ***Really?***
No one currently has the political machine and money to run against and defeat trump. No one polls higher then him currently, so you’d be pulling out Biden the most widely known canindate to push for someone that no one knows, and hoping that somehow he/she/they will somehow make a coalition of voters who can take Trump down? That’s your plan?
Trump is going to turn our country into his own fiefdom. When he does, all these naysayers and “notgoodenough” types will be the first into the camps.
Dumb ass should have known this ahead of ever working for him. So fucking obvious
“Dark Reason”—clickbait, especially when sensationalist, needs to be banned from this reddit.
I feel there is no doubt Biden is a better option than Trump. To a scary degree in fact. Impatience for change and ignorance of current realities does not, in my opinion, justify taking any step that could possibly result in Trump being elected. There are current, pending issues on the table that matter. Throwing the baby out with the bath water is insane. We know long-term goals will take time to fix so why would you purposefully engaged in actions that would move progress towards those goals backwards (and if you claim Biden also moves them backwards then I’d argue Trump moves them back expeditiously) while also putting in grave danger the rights of disaffected people in this country.
It is vote Blue no matter who once again but for love of…ranked choice and term limits. Wisdom is knowing when to step aside. Israel suckling at the taxpayer teat once again is not helping.
Cassidy Hutchinson was on the Trump train until he rejected her and was about to be thrown under the bus. It’s great that she change her vision and also require courage to do what’s right, just sad to see what it took.
Maybe I’m alone in this, but I really don’t want to hear what she has to say. I’m glad she has seen the light about Trump (I guess), but I really think she doesn’t have a leg to stand on. She couldn’t see what was glaringly obvious by the rest of us who didn’t work shoulder to shoulder with him and his cronies. Good for her, but go fade into the sunset.
I’m worried how long this will go on for. Will America face an existential crisis at the ballot box every 4 years from now on?
But she herself is still going to vote for a republican if one wins the nomination other than Trump.
THE VAST MAJORITY OF REPUBLICANS DO NOT CARE.
They have clearly communicated they want to win over fair elections and over democracy.
If you self identify as a Republican you continue to support this behavior, period. No if ands or buts.
Biden isn’t my first pick, but the alternative has actively stated they want me dead.
I’m going to continue to push voter registration, and vote in each election. Both local and federal.
The whole “I’m not voting for Biden because xyz” seems very strawman and astroturfed for those of us ahead of you in the line for what they want to get rid of.
40% will always vote Left.
40% will always vote Right.
20% determines the presidency by holding their noses.
It’s amazing that Trump’s strongest critics are usually the folks that worked for him. Should that not say enough
I will not endorse anyone but vote for Biden? Sounded a little weird to me.
uhhh so what was the “dark” reason…
I think the DNC are the ones that need to have the pressure put on them, not the voters. Especially the progressives. This is the third “You have to vote for whoever we say, idiots” election, and it wears on you.
Just so people don’t send me personal threats as if the presidential election rests entirely on my shoulders, let me say this clearly: If Trump is the Republican nominee, I’m voting for whatever Democrat is running. There’s a 99% chance that I’m voting for whatever Democrat is running regardless of Trump’s status. So please do not misinterpret this as me not #VotingBlueNoMatterWho.
But this is 100% on the DNC and Joe Biden. Foreign policy polling data is readily available. I’d start there, personally. Take a look at what people are saying now, as opposed to watching Trump or some other Republican get elected and asking what happened after the fact.
If I had a magic wand, I’d have Joe Biden end his campaign and endorse someone else like, today. Harris-Newsom. But I don’t have a magic wand, so I will be voting for the less dangerous (to me) option.
Unless the Republican party is dealt an absolutely devastating loss, they’re not going to do anything to fix their issues. Or moderate their doctrine.
Biden isn’t a screaming psychopath and former Epstein client?
Cassidy is telegenic, warm, thoughtful and in the end did the right thing telling the truth about the Donald. That said, she still chose to sacrifice personal integrity for proximity to power. He was a known scumbag, racist, liar, cheat, swindler and pussy-grabber but she sidled up anyway.
Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when Sideshow Bob was running for Mayor of Springfield. Homer: hmm, I don’t agree with his Bart killing policy, but I DO agree with his Selma killing policy! (proceeds to vote for Sideshow Bob). And Homer is the typical American voter folks, just remember that.
I hate to say it, but it will be close. Like 2016.
I swear if this turns into another 2016, then people who claim to be Dems or supporters of democracy can’t sink any lower. It shouldn’t even be a debate imo if Trump and Biden are our only choices lol

To sum it up. She thinks Chump, or any Republikkkan will be the end of democracy. We all know that.
