Unfortunately experience has taught us that the private sector only finds this ability when governments bring in legislation that forces them to. The only reason they find the ability is because if they don’t their profitability will take a shit. Auto makers didn’t suddenly jump on the EV bandwagon because it was the right thing to do, they were forced onto it by the governments of most of the richest nations in the world banning the sale of new ICE vehicles in the near future.
