So I’m sure I’m not the only one who cant afford gas. I use no gas and my statement of a whole year proves it, so naturally I had to pay nothing. If I use no gas next year I’ll be charged 125 quid for using no gas. Surely they’ve got this wrong?

Paper and stamps aren’t free, you know.
Edit: Sarcasm
Looks like that will most likely be the daily standing charge rates
Maybe contact Ofgen and see what they say
They’ll have used a scaling factor and not checked it.
So they’ve have multiplied your current figure by something +£125 as a buffer. People never complain if their bill is lower than expected so they’ll wang on a reasonable amount extra to account for a larger than expected rise so people don’t moan.
So they’ll have done
Next year bill = (£This year*1.1)+125
And then they’ll have forgotten to remove this from anyone who doesn’t pay anything.
Does your home have gas pipes or no?
They could sneakily apply costs saying “gas pipe servicing” or something.
Similarly for water pipes even if you don’t use it, there’s a maintenance.
But idk 😐
