    He should have fled the country and joined the Freedom of Russia Legion instead of dying without purpose.

    Becoming a conscript recruit / mobik in RF military comes at a very high risk to fall victim to mistreatment/abuse, including permanent injury, rape and torture.

    In recent days, torture videos from occupied Ukraine have been made available where underperforming mobiks are subject to mock executions, torture and loss of life by their fellow Russian soldiers.

    Even during peace time, дедовщина (*”reign of grandfathers”*), which describes institutionalized hazing/bullying on a level unheard of in the free world, causes the death of ~300 convict soldiers per year, according to official Russian sources ([link](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dedovshchina#Current_situation)).
