I tried to improve the new NMBS info screens. (Some remarks in the comments)

  1. * I changed nothing in terms of font, font size, and color system. NMBS did research with the visually impaired, so this should be good.
    * Back to a two-line display instead of one. Of course this reduces the amount of train information visible on a single screen, but i’m assuming multiple screens are available in stations with more trains anyway.
    * Got rid of the second ‘bad news’ column, in some [examples](https://www.belgiantrain.be/-/media/corporate/images/tad_bus_nl.ashx?h=228&w=400&hash=4E972F8B2F6CF28FB3EA9571F82BD498B935CFB3&la=nl) from nmbs it’s practically empty. Seems like a waste of space and makes the whole thing harder to read.
    * Switched train track and train type columns and made the difference more clear.
    * Alternating row colors!

    edit: added realistic amounts of delay too.

  2. Now charge 5 milion in consultancy fees, set a deadline for 2026 and well see be exited for it when it´s adapted in 2028.

    Good job.

  3. Send it to the nmbs, or even better, make a poster of this design that you hang in the station so that passengers can see how much better it is.

  4. I have pretty good eyes but I’ve got so much trouble reading the yellow on blue. I really have to get much closer to the screen than I used to just to read it clearly.

  5. Nice job, it feels a lot clearer now.
    One suggestion I still have: I would keep the time consistently in the top, also when there is nu status shown. That way each piece of information has its own set place.

    And a little more breathing room between the time and the status.

  6. Een trein naar Oostende die niet naar Oostende rijdt… classic NMBS.
