Think about China right now. Now only did their loved ones survive COVID, but they have falling prices and too much housing.
Meanwhile conservative Americans have stopped visiting the civilized parts of the US entirely. They live in the woods with with their weird kids, guns, and conspiracy theories. It’s a mess.

when prices jumped significantly, the mandate to achieve +2% inflation target becomes totally USELESS if the fight dragging on too long. eventually of course you claim winning but prices are elevated to the very high level.
