I was going to post a rant. I wanted to put it up for debate – to /r/askUK for help or /r/ukpolitics for accountability but it all feels so futile at the moment.
Two years ago we lost a legal battle with TFL when they ignored our complaints that our street wasn’t a suitable bus route. They went against public opinion, expert advice and common sense and did what they always do. Seemingly TFL are not accountable to anyone.
The Borough have had to repair the entire road due to the damage the bus has caused.
They ignored all advice, planned the carriageworks for a wet November. The 1 week of resurfacing is now running into week 3. We’ve lost power, water and smell gas. The service providers come out and fix the damage done by the road construction, and the cycle continues.
TLDR: My entire street has been torn up – the borough, council, mayor don’t care.
