What Russian threat? Russia couldn’t even take out it’s (relative to Sweden) poorly equipped neighbor, Ukraine. And Ukraine has wiped out a very significant amount of Russian tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery.
Hell, Russia couldn’t even handle logistics into a country that they share a border with and have rail lines going to. There’s no way they could manage an offensive in a country by sea.

Anyway, it must be approved by Turkey. But Turkey is trying to approve it now.
Swedish people! You pay crazy taxes. Stop hoarding! It’s about time some of that fine public money went to support the families … the families of those working in the United States defence industry via arms supplied to NATO. How are they going to put their kids through college otherwise?!?
Sweden is surrounded by NATO countries. The US, UK, all of Sweden’s neighbors and a bunch of other countries have already said they will come to Sweden’s aid if they are attacked. Sweden is also already cooperating closely with NATO on a number of different things. And to top it all off they have a respectable modern military and the terrain in Sweden makes it advantageous in a defensive war.
The truth is that Sweden technically doesn’t need to be in NATO to be safe.
Turkey and Hungary are just exposing themselves as anti-West and anti-NATO for no actual gain, which is such a brainless and self sabotaging move that it almost defies comprehension.
Russia would have to go through Finland first. Not happening.
Or what? Russia will be losing two wars?
once one of the safest countries on the planet is now making headlines daily on migration crises, gang violence, etc…you guys are surrounded by NATO members…I doubt that should the priority subject of your headache
