Jenna already had one foot out the door and you decided to just fire the other main lead… congrats Spyglass, you killed the franchise.
that or she’s not trying to get blacklisted by standing up for her co-star lol
I sincerely wonder how they are going to do Scream 8. So many characters will disappear off-screen.
Unfortunately this trilogy is about to fop hard. You killed off any continuity and May when to rely on Gayle or back up the money truck for Sidney to come back.
Not sure how you explain the two sisters and Randy’s niece/nephew who have become the stars from Scream 5 possibly missing though.
Didnt the Zionists do the same thing with elon musk and taking away twitters advertisers? How do they have so much power
I find it ironically funny that the biggest complaint with Scream 6 is that they didn’t kill off enough characters, and now everyone’s getting “killed” off-screen.
The Latina Scream series is over. 😕
There has been 7??
Welp time for the soft reboot I guess. Good work SpyGlass way to fuck up a good thing
No one was asking for more Scream anyway
“Not Returning For ‘Scream 7’ **Due To ‘Wednesday’ Shooting Schedule**”
Sure, Jan…
“Wednesday’s shooting schedule” is obviously the only excuse they could find to get her out of that contract.
Good. I hope this film flops and Spyglass suffers for standing on the wrong side of history.
I hope the backlash against Spyglass is fierce regarding this. Between not paying Neve, canning Melissa, and not securing Jenna…pfft. I never thought I’d see the day where I was uninterested in another Scream sequel.
If they do move forward with a Scream 7 it will likely flop. The franchise should probably be tabled for now until you can somehow get these guys back or reboot it which would be a bummer.
Whelp, Spyglass, ya fucked this one up pretty royally
Good luck with this franchise
This is me asking a legitimate question: Will people really care? I’m a millennial so I grew up with the Scream franchise and while it was nice to have famous faces or have characters return it wasn’t really necessary to the films after Scream 2. You can have totally new killers, a whole new cast of nobodies and Scream the franchise will probably still continue to be successful. The politics aside, is this decision truly going to affect the success of the franchise moving forward?
I have an idea – let’s stop making movie sequels that have a number past 6.
They build up these new movies with a main focus of Samantha (Melissa Barrera) dealing with her father being Billy from Scream I, and what that means for her as a person. Moreover, a main aspect is her relationship with her sister Tara (Jenna Ortega). At this point, there is no reason to create a new film. Spyglass really screwed themselves over here by firing Melissa. I was invested in the direction they would take Samantha as a character. Given the events in the end of Scream VI, there was a lot to explore. But if you’re just going to take the side characters, who aren’t near as interesting, and bring them forward as the lead? Idk. Seems weak. That said, I won’t support their movie anyways after firing Melissa.
