Who has right of way? The bicycle comes from a direction that is not allowed by cars.

  1. Bike, obviously

(If this is not some bullshit gotya where you´ll add “but the car is on a priority road” or so later)

  2. The bicycle has the right of way as it is coming from the rights side. It does not matter that it is a bicycle. The rules still hold.

I know that some car drivers would not yield. But then again, some car drivers are just idiots with small genitalia that requires compensation.

  3. Sometimes when I browse reddit I wonder how people got their license … and then I remember it was much easier back in the day to get it

Cyclist has priority because it’s arriving from the right and there is no priority road

  4. Bicycle has right of way because he comes from the right.

  5. Be nice, let him pass if he’s going at speed. If he’s stood still, just go past slowly…

  6. The bike has it comes from the right and it would have be the same if it was a car as the rule always applies except that the car would have receive a fine while not the bike as the sign under the one way sign allows them to go in both directions

  7. Each day I come out of a street like that when driving home, each day I have to stop, cause none of the cars give me my right of way. Except once, one single time, in the 4,5 years I’ve lived in my current home, has a car stopped to let me pass.

  8. The rules don’t matter, give the bike right of way, it’s the Nice thing to do

  9. Bike in theory. Priority is definitely not safety though!

  10. I’m not 100% sure but AFAIK even if a car would come instead of the bike they have priority even if it’s a one way road. In case of accident you will be guilty for refusing priority even if they get charged with driving the wrong way. I don’t know if someone can validate, I heard that from someone working at insurance but to be confirmed.

  11. had that exact same situation today. i gave priority to the bike based on “priority to the right” and if i didnt i would had smashed a woman during nnn because she seemed pretty sure to take that turn in front of me

  12. Love how OP asked, was told the rule and then argued everyone in the replies 😂

  13. As other people said, right has priority so the cyclist has the right of way.

But Imo I find this a really dumb rule for T junctions. People going straight should always get priority by adding the required signs and markings.

Right has priority should only be a thing for actual cross road junctions

  14. I’ve once heard. Even if a drunk person would drive out of there you should give the way. Because he comes from the right. Can someone debunk or confirm?

  15. Honestly idc about the excact rule. I see a bike coming from left or right. I ALWAYS stop. I myself bike a lot and am sometimes terrified of cars coming from left or right not seeing me.
The bike is a “zwakke weggebruiker” so you should always let him pass no matter what
