Norwegian: «Got an electricity bill of €1846: – It is not possible to pay that bill with normal income». This is the reality of hundred thousands Norwegians right now, who use electricity for literally everything.

We used to have cheap electricity of 0.022$ per kWh, now it’s 0.8$ kWh after Politicans broke the national laws, which says the national grid and electricity belong to the Norwegians people. Politican broke the law, and connect ous to EU’s electricity market place, which increased the price with 35 times.
This is unfair because we literally live very north, in cold places. Where the rest of Europe live down in warm places. There is nothing that consume more energy in a house then heating the houses with electricity. And that’s been the standard way to heat the houses for many decages, so you cant blame ous for being stupid either. Thanks Europe. I can see my own fog coming out of my mouth, I need 3 layers of blanket and duvet.

Enslavement comes at a cost. You’ll own nothing and be happy – world economic forum
Welcome to the shared European market for Electricity. You’ll get butt fucked if you had cheap electricity just like us. Norway should’ve never connected the UK either you butt fucked us with that decision too and it’s also illegal for Sweden as an example from stop sending our electricity abroad because the EU is a bit too right-wing economically.
The European regulations managed to make burning oil for electricity economically viable in Sweden again. Yeah… Thank you guys, you really care about the environment…
1846 euros for 1 month of heating? That’s insane.
Buy a wood oven, it will cost you 200 euros per month maximum.
This is crazy! Don’t they have massive hydroelectric capacity? I was planning to move there but damn! Not even mentioning rents!
100% hydro, completely independent of oil/gas price (also lowest gCO2/kWh in Europe), but because of EU cult for open market, if it gets expensive somewhere, it gets expensive everywhere.
Everyday it’s getting more expensive to live.
