I do believe that Trump has a psychotically fanatical base of voters that might make up a bare majority of the Republican Party. However, I continue to doubt his appeal with anyone outside of that core group. People can wring their hands over hypothetical polls a year from an election but I just don’t believe Trump has the support to become President again. He barely did in 2016 and that was only thanks to a fluke in our electoral system and he lost by the widest margin for an incumbent since Hoover in 2020. I really don’t see in 2024 people saying that they want Trump back, especially not with his talk of mass arrests and setting up camps for his political opponents.
I understand the fear of Trump but I don’t agree that he’s popular, super influential outside of certain corners of the GOP, and that he will be swept back into office. He’s a paper tiger and even that might be giving him too much credit.
This has always been one of the jarringly obnoxious parts of his personality. The world is burning and all he cares about is his fucking ratings. Who. Fucking. Gives. A. Shit. Will never get why people like him
You look at that picture and all those dudes have the same outfit on and are spread evenly in the empty sections almost as if they were hired to be there.
Most of his supporters can easily fill two or three seats.
Does everyone else remember when trump spent his whole presentation honeymoon period whining about the crowd size at the inauguration?
The only thing I’ll believe is Trump’s seat is never empty.
The election is a long time away. Who would attend a rally at this point.
