  1. Probably not a good idea to mark terrorist attacks and LGBT stuff in the same way.
    People may confuse the two.

    The downvotes are interesting.
Wonder if I’ve triggered some auto-downvoting botnet thing.
Memo to self: don’t comment on articles that reference both LGBT stuff and terror attacks simultaneously.

  2. I kinda like this, sure it’s important to remember the terror attacks etc but it can be depressing sometimes

  3. Right decision. The lights do absolutely nothing to help any of these issues or causes. Just stop shoehorning every issue into every aspect of society

  4. Probably makes itself a target if anything maybe thats the thinking, theres too much politics in sport, people watch it to forget about these issues

  5. Interesting that it’s as a consequence of this particular event that they decide to stop.

  6. Should have never started in my opinion. The usual problem with these performative gestures is that they’re started on a whim but no one ever considered what happens when you have to stop

  7. I mean when it first happened and whatever land mark it was turned colours into a certain flag it was a nice unique gesture

But now it’s become lights for every little thing.

It was always going to get to a point where a certain light scheme would prove controversial

  8. A good idea, these token gestures are worthless tickbox exercises.

  9. Hmm, what divisive events could have possibly sparked this change in policy? It’s a complete mystery to even me….

  10. Cool. What about them warming up their grass in the winter and illuminating half the west london’s sky?
