These statements don’t sound any different from the entire “we always want to talk peace” aka “just give up already” spiel he’s been sticking to for well over a year now. Just more of the usual “this is a tragedy Ukraine is bringing to itself by not surrendering immediately, and NATO is prolonging by supporting Ukraine instead of forcing it to surrender”.
