She’s a Christian from the Western Isles, this really doesn’t come as much of a shock.
Very nearly the SNP leader and presumably next in line when Yousaf finally shambles off
Why does the SNP let religious bigots in?
Dear oh dear.
There’s no political mileage to be gained from this.
A (so called) leader-in-waiting should be staying well away from this stuff.
This is Humza-level political nous.
SNP leadership election:
She said she would have voted against gay marriage. She says that children outside of marriage are wrong.
With that knowledge SNP members voted:
In the first round she got 41%
In the second round she got 48%
Fuck that. I’m not supporting a party where 48% support such a candidate. The rights of my friends are non negotiable – and her personal fairlytale beliefs are no excuse. This is a devolved area that she’d have direct authority over. The leadership election smashed my impression of the SNP as a progressive party, 48% voting for her is astounding
