  1. Okay, but just the other day, he told us to put aside our political differences and work with Republicans because we’re all Americans. So which is it, Joe? Do we work with Republicans and accept that hatred is a part of America, or do we denounce Republican terrorism as a whole and finally start to do something about the hate that has infested our country?

  2. …Except for all the states that legislate it?

And the fascist party pushing for it, who Biden insists needs to be “strong” for the good of America, to whom he is constantly wanting to “reach across the aisle”?

    …Yeah, other than that. Sure.

  3. Sadly it does in fact seem like there is place for a lot of hate in America.

  4. Young voters will regret not voting for this President.

  5. Trans woman here. There is a ridiculous amount of hate in America, especially for people like me.

  6. “ love they neighbor…” something the right wing Christians/evangelicals, skip over

  7. Unfortunately there is plenty of hate in this country mostly coming from one quarter. I never understood why these people constantly get panties in a wad over these sexual preferences and gender choice all the while demanding unfettered freedom to buy deadly weapons

  8. While there is, unfortunately, quite a bit of hate here in America, I think statements like this are important because it reminds of what we’re trying to accomplish as a society. America is, and always had been, an ideal to strive towards. Making our country a more tolerant, safer place for all who live here is part of that project.

Nobody sane thinks there isn’t any bigotry in America. But we ought to remind ourselves, as often as possible, that we can be better than that.

  9. Do literally anything about it then, Biden. He keeps signalling how supportive he is amidst the most targeted, prolific transphobia campaign in American history. Do *anything* to protect gender identity at the national level, or to ban conversion therapy, or prevent politicized medication bans that go against medical institution’s advisory.

  10. I’m all aboard the “let’s not dehumanize human beings” train, because that train will never arrive at a concentration camp.

Be on the right side of history.

  11. I’m going backs and forth on another post about this tweet and the person thinks that because there were like, 40 deaths or something, they shouldn’t bother commemorating it.

    It’s disgusting. People are disgusting.

  12. “Love thy neighbor, but bomb those who look different”

  13. There are two big places for it – X and Facebook…

  14. Do something about it, Joe. A transfemme military officer and a website telling us to quit smoking doesn’t count.

  15. In this thread: self-confident liberals talking over trans people who believe they are underserved by blaming them for their own genocide.

  16. Then actively legislate against hate. Do something to stop it.

  17. Much love to my trans fam & friends. -Ally / mom 🏳️‍⚧️❤️

  18. I’m sorry, Joe but you’re a better man than me because I do hate Nazis and fascists.

  19. The choice becomes clearer and clearer every day, the party of hate or the party of love

  20. Indeed there is no room hate and bigotry. So do some work to stomp it the fuck out please.

  21. “No place for hate in America” too late. I just hated him. He likely is just confused about trans, trains & transponders. “Hey Bidet, what is a transponder?” You know dang well, he’d have no clue… none. Or, least not w/o Jean Bene Fransoiux – his teleprompter.

  22. No? I mean it’s ingrained in our history. Hate English Jesus, hate black people, hate brown people, hate women, hate each other, hate black people more, hate gays, hate more brown people, hate each other again.
