The ONS is an incredible statistical body, which strives for the best measure possible. They are open about methodology.
Cpi is year to year. This figure is the accumulative from 2020 to 2023, 3 years worth of inflation. Thats why CPI is s bullshit number to use when assessing price rises.
Nothing about methodology and nothing to suggest any validity, why would anyone care what this says unless they have an agenda it fits?
