Russian deputy Sergey Mironov illegally adopted a 10-month-old Ukrainian girl from occupied Kherson region. It is known that Margarita was kidnapped in 2022. This case is the first documented case of adoption of a Ukrainian child by a Russian politician of this rank.

8. There was a very good recording where SBU or one of the other agencies recorded a zoom meeting showing the faces of all the men and women involved in the transfer of children. He interrupted the call and let them know all their names and faces were recorded, so hopefully these children will be returned one day in exchange for ever lifting any sanctions after the full withdrawal.
