Since the EU has already raised the topic of reconciliation, I think that because of military exhaustion, this is an obvious solution… There are two options for the development of events:
1) to give Ukraine more resources immediately for an active offensive and not to stretch it out for years!
2) or, as I see it, they are thinking about reconciliation, which will mean escalation in the occupied territories, but Ukraine will only do this if it has guarantees of immediate accession to NATO and the EU, because Russia is a constant threat even during reconciliation.

Where are these factories in Russia that are totally capable to push out new tanks, artillery etc. with full steam so much that Russia still has capabilities to attack other countries in 6-9 years? What have I missed? Something doesn’t add up here.

I think there’s actually a significantly bigger threat in the 2-5 year range assuming that Russian intent is to fracture NATO in a rapid war, rather than to destroy it or take huge swathes of territory. Then the bigger war would come in that 6-10 year period but they need to divide before to conquer later.
What everyone seems to be forgetting is the impact of nuclear weapons. Russia has seen Europe and the USA shit their pants over ridiculous red lines and can only of taken the lesson from it that the deterrent effect of these weapons is extremely high.
If they can take emotionally important land in the Baltics and strategically important land in the High North with surprise attacks, mostly using light forces, they can then flash nukes and scare Western European NATO into a negotiated settlement that sees Russia give back almost all land except a few emotional or strategic dots on the map. At that point though NATO is irreparably fractured, they traded safety for their partners land.
They don’t need to mass heavy forces to do that as European militaries are not mobilised or forward deployed. They can bum rush this kind of territory mostly with light forces that can be deployed without much warning. They can neutralise European air-power with SAM’s and it would take a long time for an effective SEAD/DEAD campaign to open up the skies for European airpower.
I think anything like this would be deeply unlikely however unless the USA is distracted or ditches NATO. At that point pants should be shat and the Baltics should start digging trenches and planting minefields. Without the USA, European nuclear deterrence is significantly less credible.
