I’m glad most news outlets are running with stories about the tax burden still increasing, and how much poorer people have actually become, rather than let the Tories get the “tax cut” headlines they really wanted.
I’m sure if we just keep cutting taxes for the ultra wealthy they will trickle the money down any moment now
Who wants to bet there’ll be a repeat of the “There’s no money left!” note fiasco after the next election?
If I become 1900 quid poorer it’ll mean literally starving to death unless I take to crime or something. I know I could eat a tory but I think the taste would make me sick.
What households? Minimum wage, benefits and pensions are all going up faster than inflation while taxes are being cut. I can only imagine that there’s a lot of well off people being hit by the tax thresholds skewing this, despite the rhetoric ordinary people are being helped.
Tories will gladly lose £1900 a year, having read they’ll be taking £4000 off the poorest of the disabled.
Any sacrifice is ok, so long as someone worse off gets a bigger kicking.
Another Tory success story – they have done an amazing job running this country and its people down while having the nerve to wrap themselves in the union flag at every opportunity.
Just what I needed, had way too much spare cash as it is.
